Car insurance tip from newbie

Thought I would post this in case anyone else can benefit from this... don't know if they still do it but worth asking.
When I bought my car a few years ago, I did not have any no-claims bonus and was quoted around £1000 fully comp for a 1.6 Primera (I was 34 at the time and a "safe" woman driver...). I had been carless for a few years and before that had a company car.
Well... DH called Tesco and they did 2 things:
1 - they had a special deal whereby if you insured a second "family" car you got a discount (first one did not have to be insured with them - DH's wasn't, engine size under 1.8);
2 - They credited me with DH's no-claims bonus as I had been a named driver on his policy for 5 years...
Net result was I paid under £400 for insurance... and £600 in my pocket. Plus, on the insurance certificate it had the 5 years no claims on it but without any caveats - so if I insured elsewhere, I could prove I recieved 5 years no claims bonus.
