Should i buy for 77k??

If £77k is well below what you would expect to pay for it, you want to live there and you can afford it then why not?0

is it only you that has been offered the low price? ie no estate agent fees involved as not marketed?
If it's not been repaired for a number of years due to the old man not doing any maintenance get some builders round to give you estimates for work that needs doing. When you know the costs involved you can decide what you want to do.
Personally i'd rather have a house i can make my own AND afford then buy something pre-done and stress about living there every time i look at my bank balance.
Good luck.0 -
Thanks for all your advice everyone.
Had a chat with him again last night and been to see it again.
It does need some work but nothing we cant handle (me been a decorator and OH a window fitter).
Though here comes the bad part..... he has spoken to his sister who now says after getting it valued by more estate agents that she will accept no less that 85k. Which we dont think its worth. But on the other hand we think she been optomistic so we are going to make an offer and see how it goes!
Thanks again everyone
will let you know how it goes :beer:0 -
Do you have a Rightmove link to the other house - then you could say how different it was. It's hard to say without an idea of what property it is!0
