Once you know that all the mortgage offers & searches are back, is the time to start discussing dates. Unless you need to move by a specific date, in which case make everyone aware as soon as possible as to what that date is.
Too often, in my experience, people talk about dates too early, then if the date is missed they can become very stressed & threaten to pull out. Quite often the buyers & sellers have discussed these dates without the knowledge of the EA or solicitors involved.
Two months into a sale I would expect you to be in a position to be talking of completion dates, all depending on the state of the chain. I know from previous posts your EA is a PITA. It maybe easier to get your solicitor to ring up & down the chain to get an update.0 -
i am going to find out the solicitors and call them myself tomorrow to get a provisional date to work towards. there is 3 in this chain and the only person holding this chain up should be me, but i am ready to go again.0

The solicitors probably won't talk to you as you are not their client. Your own solicitor should have an easy time of it as they only have to make three phone calls, one to your buyers solicitor, one to your vendors solicitor and one to yourself to update you.0
