Switching Home Insurance

Hello all,

I'm currently with Axa for my Home Insurance (via Egg) having previously been with the Prudential for many years, only been with the for the last year, I'm not renewing my policy with them as I wasn't impressed with the service received when I made a claim in my Building Insurance.

The reason for the post is I'm had a few quotes and wondered, before I commit myself, if there's any company others users would recommend or avoid. Ideally I would prefer a company which is UK based.

Also, is there an easy way of working out the rebuild value of your property without having to calculate the floor space etc I live in a 3 bedroom, mid terrace house, in the North West of England.
