I bought a mars bar with a £5 voucher and they gave me the change in cash.
No reliance should be placed on the above.

The reason these vouchers can't be used in B&Q or Comet is because they are no longer part of the 'Kingfisher' group. You will not be able to use them in B&Q because they will not scan and the cashier will not accept them. Hope this helps. I like the idea of using them for top up, Nice one! xxx

  • I have used them over the last 2 months and only as recently as last week.
To be honest i even had some really old vouchers that didn;t even have a barcode on them- with these, they hadt o ask the supervisor but still took them.

Presume the same applies in Comet- as when vouchers were purchased you could use them there, so you should still theoretically be allowed to use them- if not then complain to kingfisher explaining that you only wanted to use it there and that in this case you expect a cash exchange for them and they should give you this.
(worked in the past for Virgin/Op vouchers which had WHSmiths on the back even though WH smiths had been sold on by them!)

If the voucher says B&Q/comet on it, then you can use it there these are the old kingfisher vouchers, woolies now have their own voucher for use at woolies and hmv.
  • what do you mean for use at HMV- have they formed an alliance with HMV ? If so can you use HMV vouchers at woolies then?

  • Woolies now have online ordering system in store. Choose your item and ask to pay by vouchers. I believe you can choose from everything they have online. There is a delivery charge to pay.
