Monte Gordo to Seville by rail?

We've booked a holiday in Monte Gordo on the Algarve this summer, and fancy an overnight trip to Seville.
The few websites that I can find that do cover this area aren't very good really, and there's little about public transport and getting about in the area.
Does anyone know whether it is possible to go from Monte Gordo to Seville by either train or bus please?

It is definitely possible to travel from the Algarve to Seville by bus - whether from Monte Gordo in particular I don't know.
It's not possible by rail - there is no (longer a) line all the way. You have to bridge the gap by bus - but a through bus is quicker.
Sorry to be vague on detail....
Or you could rent a car.0 -

Thanks dzug - we'd prefer to go by rail or bus as there are 10 of us, and the biggest vehicle I have found to rent is a 9-seater.
Incapuppy has provided the link to the timetables which is what I've been trying to find, so I can start planning.0 -
If you can get from Monte Gordo to Villa Real De St. Antonio (via train?), you can cross the Guadiana river to Ayamonte in Spain (small ferry €1.30 pp) and then get the Damas bus from Ayamonte direct to Sevilla or via Huelva. I'm sure if you google Damas buses Spain, you find some information, or you may like to try andalucia.com which may have some further info.0
