WD's are the most reliable.......but do they do a "facebook" model?

I thought that was a social networking site for dysfunctional idiots who have difficulty interacting face to face with people in the real world?

The big 3 makes of top quality hard drives are Samsung SpeedPoint, Western Digital Caviar and Seagate Barracuda. Any hard drive enclosure with one of those in will be just great.

I've always thought it cheaper and more practical to buy an enclosure and internal HDD and put one together yourself as if/when the HDD fails or fills up, you can take it out, archive it on a shelf and pop in another one into the enclosure

however these days there are some really good deals on all in one externals. So the choice is yours really.
