Hi,
We are looking at going away in Aug 2009 for our own wedding.
We require 1 week in either Miami, Orlando or anywhere in Florida
We also require a Beach Wedding Package.
There will be Bride Groom and 3 guests and 2 children.
The 3 guests and 1 child will be paying for themselves.
What is the Cheapest way of doing this, Maybe Hiring a villa ?
Also we need flights from Manchester or Birmingham but would be willing to travel to London but would prefer not.
Ok after the week the Bride and Groom would like to go to the Bahamas for 1 week Pref All Inclusive.
As anyone ever done this or know how i can do this.
Virgin does a simlar package but they only use 1 hotel in there twin centre package that you can get married at and the reviews fo the hotel are not very good.
ATM we are just looking at prices because i know its a little early to book.
Does anyone have any ideas please.

You are aware there are no beaches in Orlando?
Anyway. Virgin will do this for you. You will have to go from MAN to orlando and then, if you do wish to get married on the beach, drive to Miami. There are plenty of places to stay there for all budgets. Otherwise you can get married in Orlando, then do Orlando to the Bahamas the second week. It's not really advisable to do this independantly as you will need to have a wedding coordinator. Pricewise, well, Flights will not be cheap in august (poss around 800pp if you book now for this august, acomm is not too bad, so a budget of around 900*for the ones who arent going to the Bahamas and then an exta 600 to however much you want to spend for the Bride and Groom, plus the wedding package. Have you considered maybe doing a Bahamas cruise instead from Port Canaveral for your Honeymoon? Royal Carribbean do lots of itineraries and it's not too far from Orlando for your flight home. Plus there are reasonably cheap allowing you to upgrade to maybe a suite or a balcony stateroom. You will be waited on hand and foot and wake up at a different island every morning.
Virgin packges are on sale for Orlando but the Bahamas wont be until May/June at the earliest. The Cruises go on sale this week.
*also take into account you will also need park passes if you wish to sample the delights of Universal, Disney etc.0 -
Virgin wedding packages are available at a number of gulf beach resorts too. If you go to the Virgin Holidays website and click on sitemap it will lead you to a section showing which hotels are available and how much the wedding packages are. They also do a dedicated weddings and honeymoon brochure.
Have just noticed that you said Virgin only use one hotel in their twin centre package - if you phone them they can arrange twin centres for any of the hotels featured in their brochure for their twin centre options.
There is a a weddings abroad section on the confetti forum where you may be able to get more info on all aspects of planning this.

OP never mentioned the Gulf coast, just Miami and Orlando, so I was advising accordingly, I didnt say there was only one hotel on a twin centre either.
You're right, they do a dedicated brochure and it's probably one of the best IMO on the market.0 -

I was replying to the OP, offering further info - not trying to contradict what you had said so I am sorry if you appear to have taken offence at my comments
It was the OP who mentioned Orlando, Miami or anywhere in Florida and also mentioned that she thought that there were restrictions on the hotel options for twin centre packages.0 -
