hi i am new to this site so not sure where to put this question
i have sky tv n broadband.went to pay of outstanding bill yesterday of £37 as i didnt realise it was out standing and they had cut me off.when i asked when it would be reinstated they told me it would not be for another 24 hours!!.they also said they are trying to discourge people paying by invoice and getting them to pay by dd.told them i wont do that as in dispute with bank.this all happened 17/03/08.got up this morning and rang them to get connected and they told me i cant be put back on as the system has only took £17 OF MY OUTSTANDING BILL AND £20 OF MY NEXT BILL.:mad: i feel sky are acting illegal in doing this and i am now waiting for a supervisor to ring me:rolleyes: any one got any ideas on how i handle this situation.

Well, they're not acting illegally, they're just being incompetent.
At the end of the day, you're in this situation because you didn't pay a bill, so you can't reasonably complain about a 24-hour reinstatement period.
I suspect this is simply a muddle and a supervisor will be able to reinstate. My advice is never 'wait for someone to call you back', but hold until they're available - then when you speak to them, ask them to call you back straightaway. They don't like people on hold so it will hurry them up a bit.Says James, in my opinion, there's nothing in this world
