Sky box question

I have sky plus installed in my home with a full package. Next week I have to stay at my parents home to do shared caring so many days per week.
My parents have a sky dish but no receiver. I am trying to establish that if I install my old skybox in my parents house whilst I am there and use my card, will it work? many Thanks to anyone that can advise!

you get a limited list of channels if you swap cards between boxes as the card pairs with the box when it is set up, so no premium channels

you can go to customer services to get them to repair , but you would need to do it every time you swap boxes

I never have the phone line attached once the year contract is up, not that I'm worried about what it loads or uploads, but I just know my kids will press the pay to play on the games.
