Can anyone help?? Basically we went on holiday to GOA in january. On the first day we had £500 stolen from our bag.We went to the police who took down our details of everything and then the police people just stood and looked at us. My wife clicked straight away. they wanted money from us to get a crime number.Hang on all our money is stolen-we had a few rupees we borrowed to get taxi to the police station and back. So we left i had a go at them but the wife dragged me off in fear of me getting arrested. We have not claimed from our travel insurance as we had no proof of the money getting stolen but have since been told we should have. Anyone help and is it too late now?

Hi, sorry to hear about the situation that you had as I can imagine that would have been upsetting. Since it happened in January, you probably won't be able to claim for that now, but apart from cash was anything else stolen like watches? Sometimes household insurance can cover situations and items like those. Except that you didn't get a crime number so you probably don't have a report. Maybe check if you have free insurance under your credit card/bank account?
