    Hi Plumb1

    Legoland is great fun!

We did something similar a couple of years ago. We stayed at the Slough / Windsor Innkeepers Lodge (http://www.innkeeperslodge.com/index.asp) where, if you stay Friday & Saturday nights, you can often get Sunday night for free. Good value, especially as a continental breakfast is included in the price.

I've never been to Cadbury World, but I have heard good things about it from friends who have been.

We went to London on the Sunday as well. Got the train from Slough to Paddington. If I remember correctly, it took about half an hour. Preferable to driving into London, imo.

Hope you have a great weekend!

Sunday is not a problem driving into London. No congestion charge and normally meters/pay & display parking on road not operating.

If going to the Tower park on the south side of the Thames - Tooley Street area by London Bridge Stationn/London Dungeon has parking as do the sides roads off to the south of it. The Tower is a full day by itself and you will not see everything if you try and cram too much in. In the same area, if you do not want the Tower is the London Dungeon - expensive (IMO) but worth a vist if you can get bogof vouchers or even free kids. If you do decide on the Dungeon try and get there early as often you can queue for an hour later in the day; allow upto 2 hourds to do it depending on how much you read on the exhibits near the begining.

Also across the road from the Dungeon is HMS Belfast. If you are intersested in history and the war then this is an excellent visit. Kids normally enjoy it as you can go in the gun turrets, down in to the engine room, gallies, etc, etc. You need to be a bit fit as there are lots of narrow stairs and passeges if you want to see all of it. Again a couple of hours at least is needed.

If you walk along the Thamesa nd past City Hall you will come to Tower Bridge where you can do the Tower Bridge Experience. You can go up the towers at each end, across the walkways at the top and see the macheinery and lifting gear as well as an exhibition and models of how is works and was constructed. Interesting and takes about 1 - 2 hours.

If you then cross over Tower Bridge to the north you can have a walk araound the outside of the Tower of London. Then go to Tower Pier (near St Katherines Dock, where you can have take a sightseeeing trip along the Thames.

Of course there are many other things to do but not sure what you like (St Pauls, Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, Bucking ham Palace (worth a visit whilst it is open to public in Summer - book in advance though to be certian of admission), Trafalgar Square, Westminster Abbey, Houses Of Parliament, Madame Tussauds, London Eye, Hyde Park, London Zoo, Regents park, St James's Park, etc, etc.

    How deep is your wallet?

    Have a great time.

  • Not sure how many in your "party" but would recommend looking at:
    http://www.daysoutguide.co.uk/GroupSave.aspx
and then look into the attractions on offer via this link
  • Try https://www.gosummer.com for free child tickets to Legoland
`Save a little money each month, and at the end of the year, you'll be suprised at how little you have.
