The sniping tool will beat a last minute manual bid but not a higher automatic proxy bid ? Is this correct?

Basically, sniping software can only beat bids (of any kind) if the bid is for a higher amount. Is that what you meant?

If someone has placed a manual bid which is higher than a bid placed by sniping software then the manual bid will win because it is higher.

That's why I can't understand why people complain about snipers

Also, if someone has placed a manual bid and someone has a sniped bid at the same amount, then the manual bid will win because it was placed first.

But, if 2 people are using the same sniping tools and have placed the same amount, I don't know what would happen then lol. Maybe the one who placed it first would win?

What I mean is - If you place a normal proxy bid the ebay system will top up to your max automatically as others bid.. Say if the sniping tool bids in the last two seconds - then the auction is over. I assume the sniping bid will still be beaten by a previous higher max limit - even though the auction is over and your sniping bid was the last to be made during the life of the auction..
