6oz butter, 8oz flour...how much water?

It's a Delia Smith recipe for sausage rolls. Not sure if I'm allowed to post a link but for me it was the 2nd listing when I googled 'sausage roll recipe'.

The butter is being frozen as per...I can follow until...Next add enough cold water to form a dough that leaves the bowl clean...

I'm a total noob at this, a quick guesstimate please, I've no idea if it needs a teaspoon of water or a pint.

Thanks.

Try two tablespoons of water to start with and then add it by the teaspoon after that

I agree with soappie - you need a lot less water than you'd think :)

Is it puff pastry or shortcrust?

Ooh it looks like quick puff pastry - well done you :)

I'd do exactly as soappie suggests (actually I wouldn't - I only make shortcrust pastry - I buy puff :p)
