Can you set up DD with money owing?? S Electirc

just had my quartely bills through and rather alot being winter bills! just wondering at this point can set up monthly direct debits to cover bills plus bit on top or do you have to be all paid up before they will let you set them up?? i have been meaning to get round to setting up DD's !!!

    You can always phone them miranda, watch they don't go over the top tho.
    And start taking weekly readings,work out what is owed , so no nasty shocks.
    If the numbers go up for say one particluar week, find out WHY. Do this for gas, electric and water.

    All suppliers are different.

    Look at your past bills and take an average off costs over the past 12 months and add a bit more.

    Ring them and ask to set up a dd for the figure above. If they are a decent company they should look at your usage and decide if that amount will cover your annual usage.

    This is the best way to work - no nasty winter bills - just same amount every month - easy!
