Hi all. Sorry for the newbie-type question :o but does the CGT on selling a second home apply to the final value that it sells for or is it only applied to the profit/gain in value made since the property was bought?

    Thanks

It's on the profit minus any exemptions..............and it's the exemptions where the minefields are (to me anyways!).
