LOL right and when we visit these places, theres not 'lots' of dogs waiting to be rehomed, and some 'never' are returned are they, they 'all' get lucky and are rehomed - only in dreamland, worth a laugh tho

I'm sorry - I was only speaking from 20+ years first hand experience
Some days you're the dog..... most days you're the tree! :D

poor you, i had a similar experience a few weeks back, because my husband was made redundant and has had to move 180 miles away to keep his job, and, us afloat, I had to re-home my beautiful Border collie who was 8 months, cos I was doing him an injustice by not taking him out enough etc not cos I'm lazy but I have a 4 year old boy and My husband used to do shifts and was here most days and me every night so we between us walked his legs off him! I swear its the most difficult decision I have ever had to make, and believe me a day after he went to the dogs home, and was on the phone sobbing to get him back, I was ready to jack my Job and sell my soul to get him back cos the guilt was terrible, but I know I did the best for him, not me, You obviously love your dog to look into the options not like these unsavory sort who tie them to railings etc. Believe me you will be best giving him to a dogs home, the people there treat these boys and girls with such love and compassion and I admire them so much. best wishes

Discojen, please try contacting the Northern Staffordshire Bull Terrier Rescue http://www.sbtrescue.org.uk/
They're based in north-west I think and might be able to help/offer advice as they do a lot of rehoming and know the breed. Sadly there are lots of staffies/staffy crosses in rescue :(. Fingers crossed that you find a new home for yours. Best of luck.
