Hi
I bought some tickets for a Liverpool match last December but they didnt arrive. Now I am in dispute with the ticket company who say they sent them in October. The only thing we got in October was a letter syaing the tickets would not be despatched until 7 days before the game. Typically I cannot find the letter to prove this but am I right in saying that premier football tickets would normally not be released so early that they would have been able to send them to me in October?
Rgds

Who is the company? Wouldn't these be sent "signed for"?
If its www.hertsboxoffice.co.uk they are not a uk company.
Did you pay by credit card?0 -
Were you not able to get tickets directly from the club?'What's poignancy grandad?'

From Liverpools official website
https://www.liverpoolfc.tv/tickets/howtoapply.htm
"General sales begin 18 days before a Home Premier League fixture and are available through the credit card hotline, postal application and for Fancard holders an online sale. These dates are subject to change."
And
"LFC do not supply tickets for home games to any agents operating through Internet sites. The only safe place to buy online is from the official club site."(".)0 -
This sounds very much like a variation on all those concert ticket agencies (such as Ticket Tout and Get Me Tickets.com) who depend on trying to get tickets from secondary sources and then selling them on at inflated prices. In most cases they don't succeed, and leave thousands of customers disappointed and out of pocket. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

Hubby bought the tickets and I did think they sounded expensive for a start. But I left him to sort it out.
They were from Hertsboxoffice. Presumably they sent the letter in October so they would have some proof that something was sent to our house registered post. I am really annoyed I cant find the letter.
Anyway I bought them on my credit card so I am going through them. Hertsboxoffice have sent the evidence that they sent tickets in October. Presumably I can reply by citing the official Liverpool website comments (thanks for posting) and also send some substantiating evidence in the form of our mobile phone bill that shows all the times we rang them including the day we were supposed to be at the match. Not sure what else we can do but we were obviously swizzed then and they never had the tickets in the first place.
Thanks for all the info. If anyone has successfully pursued Hertsboxoffice for a refund then please let me know. Everyone else - beware!!

I would treat ANY offer to supply tickets for the "big boys" in the Premiership with the utmost suspicion.
I am an Arsenal ticket scheme member, and I know that every home game is sold out almost instantly. Any "spare" tickets are sold through the club only to people who register with the club. I should imagine the other big clubs do very similar things.
At the Emirates the vast majority of fans do not actually have paper tickets any more. You "buy" a ticket for a game and you are let into the ground when you swipe your membership card at the turnstile. This has just about killed off the tickets touts who used to gather like vultures around Highbury.0 -
Apply for a charge back on your card if you paid by credit card?0

I have applied for the charge back and Hertsboxoffice are disputing it.
I feel really foolish as I suppose in retrospect it does appear ood that this company would be selling premier league tickets but it all seemed legit at the time.0 -
Their head office is in Florida..they are a Eu company.. ..their accounts are overdue (not sure what significance that has ) If you google them..
It doesn't look good.0 -
The trouble is that you cannot prove a negative, IE that the tickets (if they ever existed) never arrived. Go back to the agency and make them prove that the tickets did arrive at your house. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0
