drayton manor or gullivers MK

DH,DSs aged 9 and 7 and I are going to Warwick over the bank holiday weekend.
As we can't check into our hotel til after 3 I thought we would do a theme park on the way.
We can pass Gullivers on the way to Warwick or drive a couple of junctions past Warwick for Drayton Manor so the traveling side isn't a problem.
Would appreciate views on both parks.DS age 9 isn't a big rollercoaster fan but will do rides like a runaway train etc(nothing upside down or too high)
DS age 7 however is a theme park fanatic and will ride anything he is tall enough for!
The websites for both aren't great-Drayton only list the thrill rides and DS no2 won't be tall enough for most of them.Any info on family rides would be helpful.
I am veering towards Gullivers as I get the feeling that we would be able to do almost all the rides as there doesn't seem to be any major coasters for oldest DS to worry about. However I can pay for Drayton Manor with Tesco vouchers so I am slightly torn!!
If anyone can give me any info I'd be very grateful.

I have taken a 4 and 6 year old to Gullivers in MK. We all had a great time and spent the whole day there. There is a great train that takes you round the outskirts of the park. There are only 2 "scary" rides as it is specially for under 12s. I have never been to Drayton Manor so can't comment on that one... As an aside I have never seen any discounts for Gullivers !

Drayton Manor has a brilliant mix of things for kids of all ages (including Mr Thift and myself! :D ) so I think it would cater for both your sons, IMO. They have a good variety of rides for younger children as well as some fantastic thrill rides, and then there's the zoo too. It's a very compact park, without being claustrophobic feeling, and has a lovely comfortable family feel.

    Have a great holiday!

Can I ask you about roller coaster rides. We've been to Alton Towers and loved it and are looking for similar around Britain (not too far as has to travel from Edinburgh). Any advice for the next holiday break in October? (Especially if they take Tesco vouchers!) but more important that they are good & fast! Thanks.
