Cold bathroom

I'm worried about my bathroom now the best of the Summer may be out tof the way.
The reason being that it is cold. I live in a flat, no radiators I'm afraid, just those not very good storage heaters and no heating in the bathroom.
There's no gas in our flats.
My question is this: What would you recommend to heat my bathroom?
I'm thinking of getting an electrician in to put some kind of device in there, so that I'm not freezing this year.
Hope to hear from you, thanks for reading
kind regards
Alex

I think the simplest solution is a wall-mounted fan heater, for example, this from Argos: Glen Wall Mounted Fan Heater

Our bathroom is south facing, so the sun helps to keep it warm.......even during the winter months. From your description, it sounds like your bathroom could be north facing.
Ask an electrician for advice and compare the heat generated versus the amount of electricity used by electric fan heaters (which I believe are very expensive to run) and oil filled electric radiators........then decide which is appropriate for your bathroom. The electrician may give you other heater options too.
At the very least, do you wear slippers and use a wash basin bath mat so you're not stood on a cold floor?
Sorry I can't be more specific, we have gas central heating with radiators........which isn't an option for you at the moment.10 Dec 2007 - Led Zeppelin - I was there. :j [/COLOR]:cool2: I wear my 50 (gold/red/white) blood donations pin badge with pride. Why not try one of thiose high wattage halogen bulb sets
Only needed when you are in the bathroom.
Not 100% sure if in UK but have seen /used them in Europe.
They are great for when you always fel cold immediately you get out of bath/shower0 -

Gosh, I think I live with you.
I also have a stone floor in our wee wet room which is in the extension. A storage heater backs onto the room & it's lovely & warm in the morning - no-one has a shpower at night. I'm thinking heat & light bulbs, if they go in my ikea fitting or it will be a fan wired into the lights.0 -
Another thing that may be worth considering is underfloor heating. Although it is expensive and a nightmare if/when it goes wrong!0

I used to have a portable Calor Gas fire when I lived in a house with storage heaters as i could never get the settings right.Noli nothis permittere te terere

Our landlord recently installed a strange device, the like of which I have never seen before. It looks to be essentially a rather large electric filament (like in a toaster) that is circular around the lightbulb, and has an on/off pull string, so the main light operates it when the on/off string is on.
I have no idea what to call it, but it gives some good heat out, and is an effective cigarette lighter for drunken student acquaintances. However, you must be careful not to stand under it for too long, as im sure a taller person than I would most certainly have a singed head.
