New combi boiler - suggestions?

Ok, my Ideal combi boiler is starting to pack up. After spending money fixing little things here and there, I've decided that it's probably best to buy a new boiler. Now, from what I can see, boilers prices range from around £600 to just under £2,000. I live in a split level flat with 3 bedrooms. Can anyone suggest a good combi boiler? I read on one of these posts that I may need to 'powerflush' the system. Is that standard? Are all boilers efficient these days?
Thanks all for your help.

It is common to powerflush a system before replacing the boiler. It might even be a regulation.
Vaillant and Bosch are often highly recommended.0 -
A powerflush is good practice after a new boiler installation but not mandatory. It just ensures the new boiler will have clean water, free of sludge and other rubbish which builds up in radiators etc over time.
As with most things in life you'll get what you pay for. A Worcester or Viessmann would be my choice.
