    Spamming imbecile.
Why revive a thread from March then?
If the current trend in the prices of fuel continue towards rocketing the sky, then gas may just become 'extinct', not because it would be no more but because it would be so hard to afford it. You can get more information from ....
Only to find it gets spammed again!!!

I see the OP has been a little slow to post the results.

  • Just seen these "fuel savers" at Arley Hall show today. I also saw them at the steam fair a few weeks ago in Didsbury.

In Didsbury the guy was selling them at £8 claiming he'd bought bankrupt stock, thought to myself then - if someone has found a way of making a car more fuel efficient just by adding a couple of cheap magnets either side of the fuel line how did his company manage to go bankrupt? Considering the cost of fuel he should be rolling in it by now.

The funny thing was at Arley Hall some idiot was trying to sell them for £30 and said their £60 on the internet - LMAO £60 for a clamp to attach 2 50p magnets around a fuel line - yeah right!.

I thought that was really steep and didn't buy them (considering at the last place I went to they were only £8). Actually I did notice most things at Arley Hall country fair were very overpriced (especially the ticket price of £11 and then another £2 for the programme, it's only £13 to go into the Cheshire Show which is 5 times as big!) (mind you it is Cheshire).

Just got home now and found them on eBay for £1.99.

Other thing that strikes me as odd about them is the claim that they work with LPG cars as well as petrol/deisel cars. This certainly rules them out as fake. All 3 cars have totally different combustion systems - firstly petrol burns, deisel doesn't, and LPG is a gas, with a totally different pipeline as LPG cars can burn both petrol and LPG so which fuel line do you stick the magnets on??

Best way to save petrol is to just drive carefully and keep the revs down low, never mind all this rubbish about magnets.

I drive in quite a fuel efficient manner, my car is a Nissan Note SVE automatic and in the manual I'm supposed to get between 35 and 40mpg, usually the computer tells me I'm gettin 38mpg so that is very close to it's true mpg. Just need to pass my manual test now so I can get even better fuel efficiency.
  • if they worked everyone would have them fitted as standard on cars
  • firstly petrol burns, deisel doesn't

Diesel doesn't burn? Funny, I wonder why my engine gets hot?
  • I bought one for my pipe from the oil tank to the the oil boiler :o

Obviously there is no way to reliably test if it saves me any fuel at all

So I just leave it on just in case :rotfl:
The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.
