Painting Window Ledges - how much to pay?

Hello all - wondering if anyone can give me some idea of how much to pay a chap who’s coming to paint the stone window ledges round my two Bay windows? They are in a sorry state at the minute, so lots of the paint will easily chip off, then he’s going to use my mouse type sander to smooth it off. Then a couple of coats of white paint.
I’ve bought the masonry paint already (2.5 litres was £11, and 5 litres was £13 - obviously I got the bigger one cos I thought it was more of a bargain, so I know there’ll be plenty!!!)
He’s not a decorator, but he has ladders which will reach the upstairs bay and lives locally - and has said just to pay him what I think.
I was thinking around £50? Does this sound a) reasonable b) too much or c) really tight
Thanks.
WG

I would judge it by how long it takes him.
£100 a day ish???
The guy who did the side gate on my house charged £250 & it only took him 4 hours ish! He supplied the gate, I could have got a prettier one for £80 so I would say he got it for no more than £40.0 -
It's a blummin minefield innit! I was kinda thinking along the same lines - basing my £50 on 3 or 4 hours maybe. If it was all on the ground floor am sure I could do it myself in that time!!
