Just a quick rant,
Why oh why can I not phone a credit card company and pay my balance of in full. Barclaycard say I can only make a £100 payment, Natwest say they don't take payments over the phone!!
All I want to do is pay the balance off in full and close the account. Why is that so hard to do over the phone
Now I have to go into town and sort everything out in the branch!!!
Anyway rant over, just wanted to get that off my chest as nobody at work cares

I know that Barclaycard will only allow payments of under £100 unless you register your switch/delta card with them. Once it has been registered for a month you can pay however much you like. I know it's not much help to you now, but I do remember my mad dash to pay it off at the bank when I had the same problem. Something to do with money laundering I believe.
Well done on paying the card off!

The easier it is to pay on time the fewer charges they can whack on your account. The man without a signature.0

MDNA do the same, they will only accept the minimum payment over the phone. I'm sure this is a cynical ploy to keep you in debt, and keep the interest charges. I had problems with their website not working, and trying to pay the full outstanding balance.0

they could steal the details and write them down and go on a spending spree.0
