How, as a student, did you get the [no limit] Amex card? I want to get the green card & spray it black :rotfl:

My highest is Marbles at £11,000.

At one point in time, my Halifax Visa had a limit of £15K, and a balance of £12,500. The balance is now £700
Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!

FunnY you! :rotfl: The AMEX is an additional card attached to my dad's Gold card, I guess I can't really call it mine hence it has my name. I can't wait till the day I get 20,000 quids limit like people in this forum.

Co-Op £4,200. Pretty rubbish as i hardly ever get any "offers" from them, but yesterday they offered 5.9% till 01/08/08 with 2% fee, capped at £25 max.

I started with a Amex Green standard card.
Then I had a blue corporate card - card paid by my Company.
Next in 1990 I got my Gold Card
In October 2000 I went for a Amex Platinum Card - Well they invited me.
It cost £242 per year - but both me and my wife get free World Travel insurance and for £80 per year we get car hire insurance. Do the maths and if you rent a car in the US it saves a bundle.

Next they invited me to get a Black Card - This would have cost me £650 per year. I said turned them down at this point.

Still have my silver - sorry platinum card.

Do I spend £100k per year on my card ...errr No ...I spend about £30K per year on it. Get loads of points that I turn into virgin airmiles.

Currently £9,500 on egg. Used to have £20,000 on an MBNA, but shut that a while ago as I had it for a 0% offer.
