Feedback on Playtrade?

Hi
Basically I signed up to Play trade at the end of January, I have been pleasantly surprised by the sales I've had from it although most of it belongs to my son, having a clearout of games etc.
So far though I've only had 4 feedback ratings which up until the 4th were all positive. I have received one today which has upset me, since the buyer hasn't contacted me at all and just left a comment about never having had any problems with play.com before, where is his item and what is going on??
He purchased on the 7th (last Friday), I posted on the 10th (Monday) 2 working days, 2nd class mail as stated in my listing.
I find it a bit unfair that we can't as sellers leave a comment in defence or to leave an explanation.
I have proof of posting although I know that means nothing really. But what I am expecting now is for this guy to tell me it hasn't turned up and he wants a refund, but I just get the feeling that he will have received it.
I think it was a bit unfair for him to leave that comment after only 3 days after dispatch? Is there anything I can do? I'm not happy about it at all.
I know you do get that type of person who is just out to cause trouble and get a kick out of being mean to people. I just really take things to heart and now my feedback rating is only 75%.
I'm not sure whether ot contact my other buyers to check if they received their items, although not ask them to leave feedback as I know some people dont' like that, but will explain why I'm asking.
Not sure what to do.
I've tried to contact Play themselves, but not sure if they will or can do anything.

No one can advise on this type of thing? Presuming this happens, but it's not very fair. I have had time to calm down today, but still not overly happy about it. I did email the guy but so far haven't had any word back, however it was late last night when I emailed and maybe he's working today, so guess it's a bit early and fortunately I"m not as impatient as he is.
Thinking more postitively, maybe he left it on the wrong listing? Or maybe he is just really impatient?
I'd still like to hear anyone's thoughts though, even if I can't do anything.
I did email all my other buyers just to check all was okay and everything arrived okay.
Do any play trade sellers on this forum send their packages recorded?
Not to worry, I'm sure it will sort itself out and hopefully won't affect any future sales I may make?

I agree that it's really bad that you cannot leave a response to the feedback on Playtrade. I sold a CD for £2.20 and posted it in a mini jiffy bag, the case must have cracked in post and buyer left negative comment saying "disc in great condition, shame CD case was broken"! I had no contact from buyer to explain, and I would have even refunded x amount to buy new case or sent replacement.
So I gleefully emailed him stating that it was a shamed he had not contacted me about it as I would have helped him out. Didn't get a reply but made me feel better!
If it helps, I don't think feedback on Playtrade is like that on Ebay. I have sold over 70 items in 2 months and only had 10 people leave feedback. I don't t hink sellers/buyers seem that bothered with it. And my one negative hadn't put buyers off, because I sold another 30 items after it.

First of all, I know this was posted 4+ months ago however this may be of some interest to you.
I sell 200+ items per day on Playtrade and we are a "pro seller" with thousands of feedbacks.
In our experience, customers are generally stupid and a lot, believe it or not, do actually not realise they can contact you directly so treat the feedback page as a message board!! This will be why they leave these silly messages.
I would strongly suggest to ALWAYS contact the customers who leave negative feedback as the lesser know fact of Playtrade is that customers can actually remove or amend feedback so if they have left feedback because of something that can be resolved (cracked case, wrong item received etc.) and you resolve it, 9 times out of 10 they WILL remove or amend it.
Also, you CAN leave a response to any feedback on Playtrade howver I would advise not giving a snotty response to a customer no matter how rude they are being as you need to remember, everyone can see that. Not just that particular customer! It is always best to contact them directly via email/phone.
We have sold on Playtrade for a numbe of years and know it inside out so contact me if you ever have any questions on it.

200 items a day!! I'm impressed Johnnyboyrebel. I've just started selling on Playtrade and in my first month I've sold 322 items.
Not many people leave feedback and I was very proud of my 100% feedback until someone left a neutral feedback after I told him to send a faulty disc back for a full refund. I was gutted.
A few traders use auto repricing software but I can't find the software or program that will do the auto repricing for me. I find it hard to find the time to keep my prices competitive. Any ideas?

PlayTrade is very poor from a purchase's perspective. These sites need to be judged on how well they resolve problems and my experience has been a nightmare so far.
Product never arrived and all you get is a button which sends an email to the seller via play.com so you have no record of it. My seller never replied. play.com could not have been more unhelpful if they tried. I have spent 2 hours on the phone (charged of course) probably on hold for 1.5 hours of that. I have spoken to 2 managers who have given me "their word" I will get my money back within 48 hours. Days later, nothing, not even a confirmation email. It is absolutly rubbish.
If you read play.com's small print there is meant to be a money back promise, but on reading closely you only get 3 or 4 of these for life and then the purchaser is banned from buying again - not the seller! Also they only promise to investigate.
I have not had a single email or call from anyone at play.com. I have not had any email answered other than to contact the seller. It's impossible to get an answer from anyone.
Very, very poor from a buyers point of view and I won't be using play.com for anything again as I also order 2 other items from them at the same time and they failed to even dispatch them, they were never in stock in the first place despite being for sale on the site. This was now a few months ago.
Someone has my money and I have nothing!
It's a mickey mouse outfit and should be avoided.

i got a negative on playtrade, someone bought an item xmas day from me which unfortunatly was no longer in my possession. So i staright away emailed and appologised and refunded.
They left a negative, saying they have not had their money back in their bank (not sure how long play.com take to refund but its out of my hands) and it was a xmas gift (well they wouldn't have got it for xmas if ordered xmas day evening)
So after 200 sales over 4 years, i now have 50% feedback on my account (as no one in the last year bar one other person gave feedback). (was 27 positive before, no negative)
So i feel thats very harsh. I have made a polite comment to explain what happened and appolgiose again against the feedback but now who will buy from a 50% trader
I'm better off starting a new account (if i can) and being a new trader. 0
