Hot Dogs, cheap, quick and easy. Most kids like them.0

Thank you but should have said it would have to be cold as no cooking facilities available0

:hello:,
How about some sandwiches/finger baps with fillings in such as ham, tomatoe or cheese or whatever
Jelly with icecream with hundreds and thousands sprinkled on the icecream
cocktail sausages on cocktail sticks or without the sticks or just placed on a plate for the children to help themselves to
cheese and Pineapple on cocktail sticks
some various cakes as well
some flavoured crisps
sausage rolls as they can be eaten cold when brought ready cooked
my mum did cocktail sausages on sticks for me as well as cheese and pineapple on sticks and they were my favourite when I was young

i would agree with tulip with those foods , and also add things like batons of cucumbers and carrots , and bowls with chunky fruit like apples etc ,
how much would your child eat ? ... multiply that by the amount of children attending !! plus a bit extra for any helpers !0 -
I agree with the other suggestions, and would add mini picnic eggs (Sainsburys do 'mini mini' ones for just over £1 for 12) - they went down a storm at the last couple of kids parties I did - lots of request for more 'orange balls', lol
Grapes and carrot sticks were the most popular 'healthy' options - I was left with a lot of untouched cucumber and salad leaves though.
On the sweet side, going by experience party rings and jammie dodgers are a no, but jaffa cakes disappear like there's no tomorrow. Little boxes of dried fruit are also popular.
On a rough work up from what was put out and what was left, 35 hungry 6 year olds (we'd kept them busy for the previous hour, lol) demolished roughly a slice and a half of bread (cheese sandwiches and ham sandwiches), 2 small sausage rolls, 2-3 picnic eggs, and 2-3 jaffa cakes each, and as a group used 1.5 bags of ready-prepared carrot sticks, a large bunch of grapes, half a dozen bags of mini cheddars, 3 bags of quavers, about 6 litres of squash (hot day), 3 pints of jelly and 2 litres of ice cream.
For the sandwiches, I'd used thin sliced ham (2-3 slices per sandwich) and used 2-3 small packs, and grated up 3 small blocks of cheese (but had plenty left).
Hope that helpsDFW Nerd no. 884 - Proud to [strike]be dealing with[/strike] have dealt with my debts0 -

We always have top hats - melt chocolate into a cake case and chuck a marshmallow in. Kids love them.So little money - so much time :mad:0

Hi, have to childrens parties coming up. One is for 30 and one for 70. Anyone know where the cheapest place for plates, plastic cups etc is. Also who has some good buys on for crisps, drinks biscuits. Would also appreciate ideas as to what to feed 70 13 - 14 year olds, the younger party are not so much of a problem. Will have no cooking faciities at venue.
ThanksJan Grocery challenge
