How long should my application take?

Hi I was wondering if any one could give me advice. I applied for a Tesco Clubcard Credit card online on the 4th, and as they couldn't give me an answer online they said they would let me know by post. However I haven't heard anything yet, which I'm guessing is a bad sign. The thing is I'm not sure if I've been added to the electrol register......I completed a form back in November but I never got anything back from the council and when I had a free trial with expedian earlier this year I wasn't registered then. I haven't got any debt so I've not got anything bad on my credit report.

Anyway has anyone else had experience of having to wait ages for their application decision on a credit card?

Hmmm, not sounding too promising. You really should ensure that you are on the electrol role before applying for credit. This is crucial to borrowing money, even more so that a patchy payment history. They need to know that you live where you are saying and see some consistency in your previous addresses. If you get this sorted, you should get a Credit Card no problem.
