When the ATM eats your card, and you get issued with a new one, will it have the same expiry date as the old one?

well, I got my tesco stolen in malaysia, my new one, issued when I got back in 07/07, is valid until11/08
so that's 16 months.
If this one got eaten, do you think it would be replaced with only 8 months to go?0 -
Well i just checked my new one after it was re issued and it only has 10 months on it valid from when it was issued.0
