You could post this message on the "discussion forum" over on https://www.saynoto0870.com or phone BT and ask them what the rate is for this number (replace the +44 with zero).magoogy wrote:...i am now worried it was one of the £1 per minute numbers....anyone know?0 -

The e-mail was not from 'the national lottery' - it was a con trying (and succeeding by the sound of it) to get you to phone their rip-off telephone number.magoogy wrote:i play allsorts of free stuff online and enter my email for free prize draws, so, i have just received an email from the national lottery that looks so genuine saying i have won 4 balls and the bonus ball in their draw and won a share of the cash due - silly me thought it was genuine and phoned the number - i am now worried it was one of the £1 per minute numbers....anyone know?

Calls to 070319xxxxxx numbers (designated as 'personal numbers') are charged at pn2 rate by BT and cost 50p/minute at all times from a BT residential landline.
Bet you hadn't 'won' anything.Their - possessive pronoun (owned by them e.g. "They locked their car").
They're - colloquial/abbreviated version of 'They are'
There - noun (location other than here e.g. "You can buy groceries there") OR adverb (in or at that place e.g. "They have lived there for years") OR adverb (to or towards that place e.g. "Go there at noon") OR adverb (in that matter e.g. " I agree with you there").0 -
i dont usually get conned or sucked in - but, this seemed genuine as it had the proper logo and that - it also told you to email not phone, but, after not getting a reply i tried to phone - i reckon i was on for 3 minutes so i suppose £1.50 aint too much - aarrrghgh - i am on telewest not bt though.......0
