Cheapest 2nd phone line

Hi
I have a Virgin Media phone line & a BT box which hasn't been used but could be reconnected for free (I checked a few months a go when we wanted to change supplier). I now want to add a 2nd phone line for a home-based business and will probably upgrade one line to have free UK daytime calls. Does anyone know whether it would be cheaper to get a second Virgin Media line or to have a BT line? Any advantages to having a BT line?
Many thanks

Since you have broadband you should consider VOIP. Particularly if it is mainly for incoming calls.0

Also, if you get out of your Virgin Media contract you could consider Orange Home Max. It includes a second line with free calls 24x7..0

I had 2 lines , 1 res 1 business at home. we made all calls on the bus line and put the cost against tax. We then cancelled the res as we were paying for something we were not using, BUT when we changed are internet supplier we had to have a business package as we were on a bus line. Problem we now pay Zen 17.99 for a 8 mbps 2gb service and we frequently go over the 2gb. kids using msn and camera + you tube. so the real cost is probaly 18.50 month. we tried to get other packages but all isp's say because we are on a business line we have to have bus b/band.
Any suggestions as to where to go 2 get the 2nd res line reinstalled and then get a cheap b/band deal, i have thought about the mobile modem deals any ideas on that . the 2nd line would not be used for calls at all.Div 1 Play Off Winners 2007
