Is there anyway i can change the postage now as i will be out of pocket by a couple of quid and only expecting between £3-£10 for the item?

Not without cancelling the bid. Personally I'd just leave it.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

I think ill leave it then. Ive made so many mistakes on this one listing:o First my hamster nibbled one of the books so i offered afree book as compensation then realised i didnt have a spare free book so had to add more info offering something else, now underestimated postage:rolleyes:

It's infuriating when you do that, but you live and learn...! I've done that too. Also, I thought I had 2 identical items recently, sold one then relisted and sold the other...but when i came to get it out I discovered it was a completely different item! Luckily there was another one on ebay, so I had to buy that and send it to my buyer. ...I've learnt....always check you're selling what you think you're selling!0

I agree, there are plenty of threads on here about sellers who back out of low priced sales, and it is a poor tactic that leaves bad feeling all around.
It may cost you a few pence now, but what you learn from a sale like this is priceless in the long term. I've lost out twice recently selling hidden treasures.
One was small wooden table that went for £60, which initially I was well pleased with, until I found out afterwards it was Edwardian and was worth about £250-£300.
The other was an old CD is stuck in the shop for 75p, sold within a few hours, and later I found a load of links in my traffic reports to the bands' fanclub forum. The CD was a limited release and deleted in 1995. On auction they go for £40+, and the forum members were amazed that I had it listed so cheap.
Bummer.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -

Well, I lost a couple of quid and felt pretty stupid - but on the positive side, I had a happy customer and my feedback is still 100% and that means more to me than trying to lie myself out of a situation of my own making. ...And I won't make that mistake again!0
