Abbey to MBNA transfer?

I cleared my Abbey card (issued by MBNA) balance last year, after they put their rate upto 29.99% Now they are offering 0% till 1st Jan. '09 (3% fee). I've used some of my limit to pay off OD on current account. Can i pay off my MBNA card directly, considering they are part of same group, or should i do it through my current account?

Not quite. The oldest Abbey/MBNA cards are still with MBNA. If your monthly statement is A4 and still has the old Abbey logo then your card is still MBNA. If the statement is A5 and has the new logo then it's Abbey.abbey aren't part of MBNA anymore.... you're abbey card is now with Abbey. So it should be OK.......
I think you must still be with MBNA, because I don't think Abbey have any existing customer offer on at the moment. While the deal sounds good, as you've got an old Abbey/MBNA card you can swap this for a new Abbey card and get 0% for 12 months (I think, might be 13) with no BT fee.0 -

Still Abbey/MBNA. So what happens with this swap deal? Do they keep the same credit limit and shift over any debt strait onto the new Abbey card?Founder member MSE Jet Airways Mile High Club
