fence paint - any bargains around

Hi all. Am about to paint a fairly large fence around the garden and have noticed garden products on offer here and there over the past week or so but didnt see fence paint. Anyone know of any BOGOF or similar on Cuprinol and the like. Would like to start today as the sun is shining so a quick response would be great. Much appreciated as always.

I did my very large garden fence last year & got my stuff from the local diy store, not only did it work out cheaper than buying from the big diy stores, but each can came with 30% extra free, if I remember rightly.

Less of a bargain post, more of an experience one...

I've painted alot of fences over the past year at various locations. I originally bought Cuprinol's version which went on really well. However, less then 6 months later the colour started to fade very badly.

So for the next batch of fences I had to paint I bought Ronseal's product. Again went on ok (a bit watery) but didn't seem to colour the wood that much, and on one panel that had been painted a different colour previously, it looked pretty naff.

So, I've ended up painting the last batch of fences once with Cuprinol, and then again with Ronseal!

We bought the cuprinol garden spray set. The sprayer was about £23 and each pot of paint £11. It went on so quickly, much better than painting and gets in all the nooks and crannies. Colour nice and even and still looking good 3 months later.

My OH did find it a bit hard on his back though as there's a lot of plunging!

Big W have offers on wood paint at the moment. I think they were on offer for about 6 or 7 pounds. I've just finished painting my shed 'Autumn Red' and it looks superb!
