I let one room in my home out for Bed and Breakfast and make a modest income of less than £6,000 per year. Increasingly my customers want to pay by credit card. Is there a choice of ways of doing this? The terms quoted to me by Barclays Bank would be more than I can afford. With less people using cheques this is becoming a problem for me?

Post this question on the small biz & charities forum. you are bound to get some useful information there.
There's also an organisation called (I think) the Federation of Small Businesses which could be useful.0
