Need furniture for new home, is ebay a good source

For instance:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=4960&item=4332247389&rd=1

Or would we be better off with sofasofa or similar?

Thanks for any advice!

I admit I dont know about new.
    I bought a second hand 7ft +Peter Guild sofa.
My boyfriend picked it up and it was in mint condition.
Cost £126 they retail at £1800 new.

If you are careful and check the feedback very closely.
Even contact others who have bought sofas from the seller via ebay and ask how comfortable they find them etc.

Do a search on their selling history and it should give an idea of what they sell for and how much the reserve is if there is one.

I also do a search on previous bidders who havn`t won to see how often they have bid on this seller (just incase of shilling).
When you are parting with so much money it always pays to be cautious.

Some of the sellers on ebay also have shops in the real world and have good communication and give great service .

    Good luck
  • Well, I've asked a previous winner to let us know how they like there sofa suite. And the seller has 100% feedback rating. But I suppose you never know!
