MBNA Application Referral

Hi,

Applied for my second MBNA card last night and didn't get an instant decision. They have asked me to call or wait 7-10 days whilst they get back to me.

Applied for my first MBNA card and account was opened on the 1st Feb. Have I applied too soon or is this common as I already have a card from them. Anyone got experience of this.

Also made a balls up as was going to apply for the abbey card which has better terms than the alliance and Leceister one that I applied for but didn't think this was an MBNA card as couldn't see any mention of it on the site, until I clicked the apply button that was. Will have to notch that one down to experience:rolleyes:

Rang up Alliance & Leceister which put me through to MBNA. They wanted to know what I wanted to do with the card. I told them I was interested in the 0% purchase. They approved the card there and then but with a lower credit limit.

My other MBNA card was flagged to them hance the reason for the referral.

Have now managed to get 2 MBNA cards but thats probably it with them for a while now, I guess until some time has passed and payments have gone out on time etc etc.

    Any thoughts on this?

MBNA will allow you to swap limits between the 2 cards, you have to ask them but could be useful for stoozing on a 0% deal.
