Egg Money Manager

Egg have an online Money Manager where you can see the accounts you have with other financial institutions as well as Egg. Do you know any other bank/credit card company which provides this service. Thanks

  • I know First Direct have 'Internet Banking Plus' which is a similar service to EMM. Not used it yet but think I'll give it a go soon.

I used to use Egg Money manager, but got fed up with the large and frequent amount of down time.

First Direct Internet Banking Plus allows you to do the exact same thing as Egg Money Manager. I prefer its cleaner, more reliable interface and have been using it now for about 6 months.

The best bit is that you don't have to have any First Direct products to use it.
Whilst my posts do not constitute financial advice, I am always, without fail, 100% right! :D
  • I've just logged into Egg and all but one of my external accounts are displaying their details without error. I've found that sometimes simply clicking on the 'Your Money' tab header can sort out any gremlins.

I occasionally have the odd account that won't update for a day or two, but in the main it's been OK.

I have had error on all my external accounts since the 12th March. I rang Egg yesterday to find out when it was going to be working again and the first person I spoke to was insistent that there were no problems at their end and that this had to be problem with my PC. I humored her for a while and cleared my cache and checked for pop-up blockers but this didn't work. I then asked to speak to a supervisor who advised me that there WAS a problem at their end that they were working on and this should be resolved today (ie Saturday). Needless to say, it isn't working yet.
  • Yes, been having the same problems since the 13th too - the secure messenger service tells me to clear cookies etc. etc. but only by calling their call centre did I get any joy - they have advised they are having issues but are working on them....

If you want the convenience of EMM, without the associated hassle of Egg's downtime, then use the software at the maker's own site: https://www.ewise.com.au/accunity/aa/home.asp?pid=accunity

That version also allows you to have your passwords stored on (say) a USB pen so you don't have to leave the password safe on a PC/allows you to access it from any PC without having to enter the data in each PC.
    Conjugating the verb 'to be":
-o I am humble -o You are attention seeking -o She is Nadine Dorries
  • All my external accounts on EMM have been down since ~14th also.

I started using the First Direct Internet Banking Plus service about a month ago and I find it much better than Egg MM. I often seemed to have a problem viewing my Natwest accounts on Egg but not with FD. I love that you can have things like Virgin / BA / Tesco point balances too!
