Have Easeus Data Recovery Wizard as todays freebie software, you must download and install it within the next 20 hours from the time of this post .

This is a well respected program and works like a dream, I have just tried it on a low level formatted drive .

I used this about 7 weeks ago when my computer finally broke taking my external hard drive with it. The hard drive was a freecom 300GB and would show up in explorer but give a folder not available or drive unreadable error. This software recovered almost all my data. I lost 3 photos out of 9577 and 1 game image file. It also recovered all my home movies from my daughter being born to her 2nd birthday with no problem.

Excellent piece of software.

And this is the most recent version as well... Even newer than the one I used to recover my drive
