None haircare voucher fixes - Pantene used to make a Winter Rescue shampoo and conditioner last year which did the trick for me, haven't seen it on the shelves this year though so not sure if they still make it.
DD uses, of all things, tumble dryer sheets! To save sticking your head in the tumble dryer (not recommended) you can just keep one or two in your bag to smooth over hair to combat static. This really does work for DD, she has long thick hair. Maybe Boots has it's own brand :rotfl:
Not sure about the shampoo and conditioner but they do an intensive conditioner in the Winter Rescue range...... HTHWins since September 2011: Wedding (Worth £3500) :j Bridesmaids Headpiece (Worth £40) National Wedding Show VIP tickets (Worth £70) £100 Shopping vouchers...0 -
I've been thinking about the JF serum, because I like it very much. Both DD and I have long, very fine hair and this stuff is just magic on it for smoothing down the flyaway bits and for moisturising dry ends. However...the 25ml size is £3.99 in my branch, come to think of it.
So...
5mls a@ £1.99 plus using £2 tillspit = free.
25 mls @ £3.49 plus using tillspit = remaining 20 mls for £1.49.
OR..
25mls @ £3.99 plus using tillspit = remaining 20mls for £1.99
50 mls @ £5.99 plus using tillspit = remaining 45 mls for £3.99
So if the 25ml version is £3.49 then it's the best deal to buy this size if you can get it at this price and want to stock up. If it's £3.99 for 25 mls then it's better to stock up on the 50ml size.
Plus there are two other varieties in the 50ml size...a UV protection version (ideal for holidays I would think) and an extra strength version.
HTH someone!
Can you just run that by me again please valk?
Had a strange Boots day today, bought the Kyphi hatbox, but no mini-treats. What they did have, and what makes a change, was a handy sized Sento gwp. I'm not sure if it's been mentioned, but it's like a small mesh-type travel pack consisting of 75ml of Invigorating Body Wash, 100g's Invigorating Scrub Bar, 50ml Invigorating Body Cream, and an exfoliating Cloth. No voucher as far as I can see, and didn't hand over any vouchers as paid with points.
I gave up on the Ted Baker being reduced, and opted for the Ruby Wax On Your Face-Wash bag - down to £7.50. It made sense as I'll be able to see what I've got ...for a changePaid with points.
Also got 3 x voucher sandwiches(reduced to 75p each) for future purchases on the Men's No7. Also paid for by points.
Bought a jar of Naked Sea Minerals in the Buff renewing body scrub for £2.50 ish, but it's huge at 500g! Not sure of usual price but looked good. Forgot and paid with cash.
The till went haywire whilst doing the 3-4-1 on 17 and I ended up with 3-4-0 ...!Not a penny was paid, but the till had to be overridden by a SA, and somehow the JF till spit took off £1.15 - the cost of one of two lip liners I'd bought in clearance. The frizzease also went through for free, so not sure what went on there
but not a bad transaction!
I'll have to check the receipt

Went to Burton to have my hair done today so thought that I would take advantage of the current no 17 voucher from the mag and buy it with 2 lip liners (along with some other general stuff) as dd1 aged 6 loves things like this especially when people have widely reported getting it for only 50p....
Was told that I couldn't use the mag voucher with the 342. So decided to buy the lip liner and get the free lip gloss.
Well, I only noticed later when looking at my receipt that the 'in the buff' lip liner scanned at £1.99!!!!!
Made me wonder.....does the lip liner go thru as 50p then people try the 341. Or has it gone thru as 50p when only 1 item has been bought? Or is it that the tills are too smart at this shop and never apper to allow glitches thru????????
Grrrrrr....should have known not to try anything in that store!0 -

Thanks .comloverleeIt was a pleasure shopping there, and to be given advice about what worked and what didn't was a new experience lol, so I can imagine how you felt about the gwp
The distance between where we are, and where we usually shop, isn't a big difference, but the scenery wasI'll definitely be going again, and I suppose a Thursday was a good day compared to a Saturday.

Went to the Belfast branch today. SA refused the voucher with 5m JF serum and said I had to buy the bigger size. Voucher wont work because item is under 2 quid:eek: . Couldnt be bothered goin back to get the larger size so I will have another look at the items when I have more time. I must have about 4 vouchers to use lol :rotfl: What have other people been getting with the haircare voucher? What else is cheap to buy with the voucher?
I got a max factor foundation and 2 quid off it with parenting club voucher:D but there were no GWP around and I asked SA who said the offer finished last month and she had no more left. This month the offer is on mascara! pass!!! dont need any and I did manage to get the Estee Lauder freebie when I handed in an old mascara.
There were a few aftershave sets reduced the DKNY be delicious for men and Diesel for Life but didnt need these as I have already got my xmas pressies for next year sorted for the guys lol
Picked up a few items in the clearance section. Managed to get 2 bottle bags for 75 pence each and a sanctuary shower creme for £1.50. They had loads of johnson baby washes but they looked like they had been kicked around the stock room floor so I left them :rotfl:oooooooh i luv a bargain0
