Extra Fuel Allowance announced in Budget

  • I did post this in another thread, but my father, who was in a Care Home & sadly died in 2006 aged 93, received Winter Fuel Allowance in 2005 of £250 whilst he was in Care Home. (Think he only got it as he was self-funding tho).

The Pension letter from DSS states £150 of this is the WFA (£200 reduced to £150 as he was in shared house) and £100 age related payment as over age 80 - totalling £250.

I still have the letter from Pension Service stating this - So how come Gov say they are introducing this age related payment of £100 next year ??!!

They aren't saying that at all, this is a one off payment from the budget to add on to the existing age related extra payment.
