in Credit cards
Hello, I have been viewing this forum for a while now and have learned over the years, however I just wanted to share my past experiences with those who may be interested.
I have now been discharged from bankruptcy since May 2006 (original bankruptcy date May 2003, please note I live in Scotland). All detrimental information will be off my CRA files by May 2009.
I now have a Full Current Account with Citibank with visa debit, £100 cheque guarantee and £500 overdraft (which I never use), Freemans Catalogue Account with £1350 limit (balance at the moment £150) and an O2 contract.
All three report CRA's monthly thus my credit score is improving every month.
I recently applied for a Capital One Classic Card and was surprised to be accepted with a £500 credit limit, I intend to use the card and pay the balance each month via direct debit and further improve my credit score. I was surprised because Capital One was one of my bankruptcy creditors.
Wondering if anyone in my position has had similar experiences?
Regards
Steven

The card is designed for credit building so you may have scored quite reasonably with them for that particular card.0
