Help. Where is the best place to park for Wakefield Westgate Train Station

Is there anywhere nearby that is cheaper than the car park at the station.

There is a lot of development round there at the moment and the car park above the station has now been built on. Don't really go into town but there is the Ridigns but don't know how much it is. You could leave your car at Kirkgate and get the free bus round to Westgate but Kirkgate isn't great to leave you car in. What about leaving it at the car parks at Outwood or Sandal & Agbrigg and commute in (limited spaces though).


If you are absolutely desperate and it's for the day you can leave it at our house and catch the bus into town from Crofton for £1.90 e/w.

you cant actually park at the station anymore-its all reserved parking now or short stay pick up parking and he adjoining park has been decimated due to building work-theres not much cheap parking in wakefield itself-theres the ridings or behind the post office (just off northgate-the left handand NOT the right-thats v expensive)
alternativley if you head for grantley way-postcode WF1 4PY-thats behind the lightwaves baths-and about a 10/15 minute walk-you can park for free in the cul-de-sac-no parking restrictions-our office used to be there and all the ambulance centre staff used to park there
