british gas to atlantic help!

hi wondered if any one can give me some advice i am in the process of switching from british gas to atlantic i have been on all the websites to compare and these are always the cheapest at the moment they say i am going to save 538 pound with them over 3 years does this sound right? i am currently paying 30 pound direct debit for each with british gas and recently got a gas bill in for 104 pound they say that i dont need to pay it as my dd will cover it somehow?just wondered if atlantic put their prices up if it will still be cheaper and if anyone knows if and wen atlantic will put them up? i have 7 days to stop the application going through so i have 5 days left and i have also given them my dd details not knowin how the payments will start and how much i will pay! sorry if this is confusin but i would really like some help pleasse! thanks alot ash

I've just switched from BG to Atlantic. The hassle was too much for me from BG. Bg had me down for £64/month which meant over a year Ipaid nearly £300 overpayments - Atlantic have given a more reasonable figure - £31 for monthly payments...IMHO - BG treat customers poorly - it's a customers market and we do what we feel is right - my decision was based on the poor customer service (and price )

I swapped to atlantic nearly a year ago, they are a lot cheaper, and my price i pay for both is about £20 cheaper per month - and i have always been in credit with them. I definatly recommend them.

thankyou for that like i was sayin i have a fixed direct debit of 30 pound for each just wondered when i get my final bill from bg how long will i have to pay it? thanks ash

I was told BG take about 6 weeks from the final meter reading - lets see how busy they are with all the people leaving!
