Advice on estate agency fees

Hi,
Have you considered selling your house yourself and not going through an estate agent at all?
I have recently set up a website that helps people sell thier property privately without the need to go through an agent, so there is no commission and no contract.
I am currently trying to build up a database of properties so you can advertise your house on there for free if you like. Your advert will also appear on the major property portals such as fish 4 homes.
If you are interested in getting on there for free give me a call on 07882970399 or have a look at the site at http://thebigmoveonline.co.uk, there is also info and FAQs about selling privately on there fo you to have a look at.
I hope this is of help to you.

we had an agent charge us 1.5% he said it wasnt ever negotiable, so I queries with the contract why he had to handwrite the %age in. they were rubbish and we went with a 1% who managed to get the house under offer but have been very sloppy and getting it through. i asked for an update nearly a week ago.0

Why are you waiting nearly a week for them to come back to you? Get back on too them and get your update. You are paying for a service, after all.0 -
Obviously, most people have, but if it ain't on Rightmove........Have you considered selling your house yourself and not going through an estate agent at all?
By the way, I agree with Jorgan. You shouldn't advertise here, even if you are offering a free lunch of Spam. If you are willing to break the site's T&C, what else will you do?0 -

Called Thurs when i thought he was back but he was still off, i mean 2 days for a funeral? and the other person was going to get an update. nothing happened, friday I chased.
Monday will be full wrath, i will be phoning the solicitors in the chain myself0 -
In todays market I'd offer them a bag of sprouts and some Marks and spencer kitchen knives and maybe 5 quid

Seriously though 1% max0 -
Hi
I have got the moving bug (which is crazy with a 9wk old baby but hey) I know what the value of my house is roughly and I know what is outstanding on my mort, but can I remort on mat leave and can someone give me a approx guide to how much it will cost to move ie solicitrs fees ea etc.
I need to put pen to paper first and see if moving is financially feasible before I start inviting pushy ea into my home.
Any advice greatly received.

I've tried that. They are not supposed to talk to you. I managed to make one rather angry, but in telling me off he gave me the assurance I wanted. Not sure to this day whether it was deliberate.
Anyway, just be aware that they may not speak to you.0 -

I am only trying to help the guy. Yes it is offering a service, but it is a free service. If you're not allowed to give something for nothing.....
I'm sure Martin Lewis wouldn't mind his users getting something for nothing.
If you're feeling left out you can get on there for free to.0
