Tesco over charging for petrol

Options
Went in to Tesco for petrol sign said 105.99 when I went to pay noticed pump price 106.99. So check if you are paying the right price. My local garage is 105.99. When buying lots of petrol this adds up.

I bought petrol some time ago at a TESCO and I was the last person to do so before they put the prices up. They closed off the entrances to the filling station and only re-opened them when they had changed the big signs. Worth querying with them I would have thought
  • I found a BP station doing this! They were charging about 3p a litre at pump more than advertised on board! The price was the reason i went in! When i noticed I only put 10 quid in and went and complained! They were very aplolgetic and gave me the difference - i wished i had filled up!! They then canged the board outside.

My hubby caught another station doing the same!

    ALWAYS CHECK!!!

When I worked there it was all linked up, the price on the board, the pumps and the tills had to be the same (hence we had to close down to change the price).

Seems silly to have changed this system.

What was more common was people putting £10.00 in and finding it had somehow moved on a penny after they had put the handle back; as it once happened to me I can verify it did happen.

Not such a problem unless they'd run in with the correct cash to throw across the counter.
