Egg not taken DD

Egg haven't taken the DD out of my bank account for some reason. Funds are there and they've took it for the Egg Blue card. Only thing I can think of is that I have altered the monthly DD for next month and it has messed it up. I have already made an extra one off payment to them so that my balance would be at Zero so I could do my 0% BT.

I've sent them a message but not had a reply yet.

Has anyone else had this happen. Am I going to get charged by them for non payment :o

When did you alter the d/d? It states that changes done within (I think its) 7 days of your payment date will not take effect straightaway.
I think you have done the best thing by making your own transfer and by contacting EGG. Let them reply to you and post back if any problems arise.

i bought my egg card down to £8.99 by paying off exactley £1000 , and i forgot to change my regular payment , which was set at £25 , but the DD still only took £8.99 , presumably they dont want to put your account in credit ? assuming youve got it down to 0 , theres nothing for them to take ?

Almost identical situation except we hadn't altered monthly payment amount.

Egg didn't take DD and we paid an extra payment as soon as we realised the DD hadn't gone. We emailed about it and got a reply saying they had to set up the DD again.

I queried the charges situation and was told we would not be charged any interest (as it was still within a 0% period) or any other late payment fee.

As promised, we weren't charged and they sorted it out promptly. Email them again.

I had exactly the same this month, they just didnt take the money. But I did get a letter in the post apologising and saying that they would take the money in 15 days and that there would be no charge to me.

Maybe a problem with their system?
