Selling Coursework?

Options
I've got all my old GCSE (and some of my AS Level) coursework, all of which is rather high grades (A's/A*'s) - is there any way I could sell it for cash?

eBay was my first idea, but perhaps this isn't a good idea - i've found sites like these:
http://www.studentsell.co.uk/
http://www.coursework4you.co.uk/sel.htm

But I have no idea if I should trust them.

Thanks,
Jakg.

I am not sure about their reliability, to be honest I've never heard of them so that may be more of an indication that they don't have much of a take up? I guess it depends on the price you charge.

Aside from that there is a moral issue on allowing others to use your corsework... maybe you could look at writing articles or similar on your area of academic expertise?

Student Sell is just for students in Scotland.

    PAPERS4YOU looks reasonably trustworthy.

A better idea would be to offer your services as a private tutor.

That requires a lot of work - if i've already done various 1,500 - 4,000 word A*/A/B grade essays why not make some money off them?

It is just a little immoral.

    Immoral?

The coursework sites all sell them "for research purposes" (ie the same as Example material given out at School), and i'm willing to bet that the School's all have access to the documents - I know that most of the teachers here are proficient in Googling a phrase that appears "out of place" to find the proper source.

    I can live with that.

So far (after asking teachers about it no less!) they seem to think that it's illegal (?!)

  • Hey,

I was thinking of doing this. Coursework is the most pointless thing in the world IMO. However I was worried that if someone did copy my coursework word for word, is there anyway they could disqualify me, given my grades were certificated a few years ago?

    Just wondering...

The thing is although you are selling for research purposes, others may not see it that way.

Im a student through Open Uni and they have now put comments into system to the fact of that you can not sell assisgnemtns etc, not just your words there are tutor comments on them.

Its to much of a grey area, and personally I would avoid it

Most ways of getting reasonable amounts of money require a lot of work.

Anyway, if your essays are that good why not sell them to a magazine so that we can all read them?
