help with choosing a credit card for balance transfer please

Hello,

Please could you assist me to choose the correct credit card, one with low rate, charges, fees etc for a balance transfer of about £3000.

to be honest i don't know alot about cards and tend to choose one's with the longest interest free period and don't always get a new one when the period finishes.

I have a debt of about £3000 and have been shifting it around interest free credit cards for about 3 years over 3 cards and once the interest free period finishes my bills raise up to about £50 - £65 per month per card and i really cannot afford that as i don't work and nothing is being paid off the balance.

i really want to have all the cards paid off within 3 - 5 years max.

i've had a look at the credit cards and think that the Citibank 5.8% for life or the Citibank Platinum iTunes Mastercard would be ideal for me but not sure.

any advise would be greatly received

thank you

Unfortunately, these cards are scored quite harshly and your lack of permanent employment means they may not be an option at the mo.

That said, there are low-interest rate deals which could save you money.
Have you considered the Marks & Spencer &More card, for instance? I believe the application asks for household income rather than salary.

The current deal offers fee-free balance transfers at 7.9% p.a. for two years. You can request your BT(s) at any time up to 6 months from account opening but, once done, remember not to spend on the card ;)
