Need Help

Options
Guys,

I need a little bit of help. I did live in a flat over 2 years ago which had a pre paid card meter. I kept of topping up the card and using the electricity. This card had a fault on it and i got a new one issued. Therefore, the old one was destroyed and I started using the new card.

I moved out of this property about a year ago. In my move all my receipts and payment cards were destroyed as I didnt require them anymore. A couple of weeks ago I got a letter from some credit services stating that I owe Eon £400 odd for the electricity that I was using.

I have spoke to Eon who have stated that I need to give them a card number and/or give them receipts to clear this debt. I dont have it as i destroyed them about a year ago. I have already paid for my electricity and now they want me to pay again.

What can I do legally?

Thanxs.
